Work Party

Thinks-Too-Much

Is at home, waiting for the forecast.

Big Boss, him say

“Shake that thing again, boy,

Till the monkey cries

“That’s enough!”

Sit-the-Fence Couple

Go on tellin’ each other

“There’s never anythin’

In it for us …”

Fireman-As-Was

Is laughin’ so loud

“That spade you’m usin’

Is older than my granddad’s

God-Bless him bones.”

Headshake miser tuts

His familiar chorus

“Got it wrong …

Shouldn’t be there …

Got it, got it …”

Some things never change:

But with a little faith,

A following wind and

Community evolution;

Unsung or ignored, the

Small, plot-base heroes

Get it done,

Sweat:

But no sweat.
