Late and Grateful.

Blog of the Year Award 1 star jpeg“I’m late, I’m late for a very important date,”
The beeseeker blundered and blithered tripping over tree roots and notebooks and pantomime tickets and all the things he thought he had to do on his madcap way to a hole in the sky. Or was it the ground? Why could he never remember?
Now, somewhere behind the back of his mind was a date. Yes yess yesss. A date and something else … aaargh!
Talking to himself didn’t help and a blonde waif dropping off to sleep under an apple tree while an older prim type read from a book only distracted more and a vicar wrote something strange that wasn’t at all about Christmas.
Something to do with an eye pad? The kind that is supposed to help you sleep on ..?
I-pad! I – P – A – D you fool!
Yes that was it, charge the i-thingy, then check the, the, the bog? The frog? Couldn’t be fog, too much rain for fog, he thought (ain’t that the ever-lovin’ truth?)
The blog! B-L-O-G
You were going to do something about that lovely award you have been presented with. Hmmm, now it all came flooding back. The award that had been sent via blog-fairy from Kyla. Kyla (a.k.a. kikischeuer) from
If ever he could stay still for long enough he would recommend her blogdom to anyone he met in this strange Ethernet environment.
… kikischeur: she of kind words, great persistence and gentle charm.
He’d already blown one award she had sent, because of a mixture of pig-headedness, ingratitude and simply not knowing which keys opened which door (one made you grow, one made you shrink … but which was which?) and while he was thinking about having his cake and eating it – poof!
… the thing seemed to disappear.
But then he got the hang of the buttons, the cards that weren’t cards and, before anyone could say “Off with his head!” he had accepted and posted up another entirely different award.
Then he was nominated for a second, or was it third, award:
“Blog of the Year 2012”
2012! Seriously? Twenty twelve .. like last year, already?
Hope I’m not too late.
Too late to add this to my blog space.
Too late to be grateful.
Thanks Kyla, truly much appreciated.

Now where’s that hole; I know I left it here somewhere…
